The macroinvertebrate survey is conducted by the Murray–Darling Fresh Water Research Centre (MDFRC) on behalf of the Murray–Darling Basin Authority to provide long-term baseline biological datasets for eight specified locations in the Murray and four specified locations in the Mitta Mitta River.
