The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) commissioned Australasian Groundwater and Environmental Consultants Pty Ltd (AGE) to undertake the project titled Collation and Synthesis of Evidence to Inform an assessment of Sustainable Diversion Limits (SDL) and management arrangements for groundwater in the Murray–Darling Basin (the Project). The Project supported the assessment of the Sustainable Diversion Limit resource units (SDLRUs) as part of the groundwater component of the Basin Plan Review in 2026 through the best available science. This document outlines the method used by AGE in undertaking the Project (the AGE method).
