This report focuses on the condition and trend of environmental values at the valley scale in the northern Basin. While
the Basin Plan requires reporting at the environmental asset and Basin scale, reporting at the valley scale is important
because large volumes of water for the environment are allocated to base flows and freshes that influence channels over
long distances, influencing longitudinal connectivity and larger systems downstream. Reporting at the valley scale also
assists comparative exercises between the previous iterations of the SRA (MDBC 2008) and SRA 2 (MDBA 2015)
