This report was prepared under the Water (Indigenous Values and Uses) Direction 2018, which requires the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) to report publicly for each water accounting period within six months of the completion of the water accounting period. The report must address how, when planning for environmental watering in the Murray–Darling Basin, holders of held environmental water have considered Indigenous values and uses. The report must also address how First Nations people were involved in the planning for delivery of environmental water. The Directive was made under Section 175 of the Water Act 2007 (Cth). This report covers the water accounting period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.
