Poster at MD-WERP Annual Symposium 2023
This project aims to develop a predictive model for assessing risks to fish species and their habitats during flow and no-flow events in the Culgoa River flowing into the Barwon–Darling. The model will integrate climate, flow, and water quality factors, along with fish behaviour, to predict key regulators of habitat availability. These drivers include water temperature, dissolved oxygen, and oxygen demand. Once the modelling approach is validated, the model will serve as a tool for engaging water managers, Traditional Owners, and the community in co-designing future scenarios.
