Understanding the flow-dependent values of the communities in the Murray–Darling Basin is critical to assist in adaptation. However, the impacts of flow changes on economic, social, cultural, and environmental values remain uncertain.
The research aims to assess the potential impacts of anticipated flow regime changes on the communities' flow-dependent social, economic, environmental, and cultural values and inform the adaptation planning activities for the MDBA as well as government, industry, and communities that rely on a healthy working Basin.
The research outcomes are methods and data to rapidly assess exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity through the lens of the values and knowledge of vulnerable assets and values.
