The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) and other Basin governments are required to report every 5 years on a number of matters under Schedule 12 of the Basin Plan. These are statutory obligations and will provide information necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the Basin Plan against its objectives and outcomes.
This report focuses on the MDBA’s five-yearly reporting on matters 11 and 12:
*Matter 11: The fitness for purpose of the Basin water resources (Chapters 5 and 9 of the Basin Plan)
*Matter 12: Progress towards the water quality targets in Chapter 9 of the Basin Plan.
