Proportion of households under mortgage stress per Local Government Area, within and outside the Murray–Darling Basin.
This data is derived by SGS Economics & Planning (SGS) from Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) census (as at the census years of 2011, 2016 & 2021). Households under mortgage stress are defined as households whose income are in the bottom 40th percentile, who spend 30% or more of their income on mortgage repayments.
