Regional Wellbeing Survey (RWS) results by Local Government Area (LGA), within and outside the Murray–Darling Basin (MDB).
The University of Canberra Regional Wellbeing Survey (RWS) collects data on people’s quality of life in their communities and their households, which measure community wellbeing, liveability and resilience. The survey sample size varies by year, with approx. 9,000 to 14,000 respondents across Australia, which includes a MDB sample size of more than 4,000 residents in most years. This data represents the aggregated scores derived from the survey questions around the respondents' standard of living, health, personal relationships, social connections and inclusion, what they are achieving in life and their future security. This data provides the survey results at the LGA level, within and outside the MDB.
Being a sample survey, robust reporting is only possible for groups of LGAs in most cases rather than for every individual LGA in the MDB, as data aggregated to larger geographies show less variability and reduce the impact of outliers and anomalies compared to smaller geographies.
The column headings in the data sheet are described in the metadata.
